Our Cabins Our romantic cabins are 25 minutes from Radium Hot Springs and have magnificent views of the Canadian Rockies and the Purcell Mountains. Each cozy bungalow has a private deck. Relax and watch the bald eagles, hummingbirds and osprey soar over-head while listening to the symphony of birds singing. Sit around a crackling campfire with family and friends stargazing. This is a list of our cabins and their features @ Steamboat Mtn. Chalets Cabins 1 and 2 are the same. They are one room cabins with a queen bed, an armoire with satellite T.V. and a V.C.R., a mini bar fridge, coffee maker, toaster, and a microwave. There is a table and chairs and a private bathroom with a shower. Price is $75.00 / night + 13% tax. Cabin 5 & 6 are virtually the same. They are one room cabins with a queen bed, kitchenette c/w bar fridge, 2 burner hot plate, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, pots, pans cutlery, and dishes. There is satellite T.V. and V.C.R., table and chairs, private bathroom with shower, and a wood burning fireplace. Price is $ 90.00 / night + 13% taxes. Cabin 3 is a one bedroom cabin that can accommodate 4 people comfortably. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a hide-a-bed in the living room. There is a kitchenette with bar fridge, 2 burner hotplate, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, and a table and chairs. There is a T.V. and V.C.R in both the bedroom and living room, and a wood burning fireplace in the living room. There is a private bathroom with shower. Price is $ 115.00 / night + 13 % taxes. Cabin 4 can sleep up to 6 people, there is a queen bed in both the bedroom and the loft, and a hide-a-bed in the living room. There is a full size fridge and stove in the kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, micro-wave, dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, and a table and chairs. There are 2 satellite receivers, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, there is also a small T.V. in the loft that works off the living room receiver. All 3 T.V.’s have D.V.D.’s. There is a wood burning fireplace, and a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub / shower. Price is $ 135.00 / night + 13 % taxes. Cabin 7 is our largest cabin and can sleep up to 8 people with a queen bed in the bedroom, 1 queen and 2 single beds in the loft, and a queen hide-a-bed in the sectional couch in the living room. This cabin features a 2 person Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom, and a walk-in slate shower in the bathroom. It has a full size fridge, stove, and micro-wave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, and table and chairs. There are 2 satellite receivers with T.V.‘s and D.V.D.‘s. There is also a wood burning fireplace in the living room. Price is $ 150.00 / night + 13 % taxes. All of our cabins come with bedding and linens supplied. There is a propane B.B.Q at each cabin, free mini golf ( under construction ), a large community fire pit in the yard ( year round use ), as well as several yard games. We have a canoe available for rent, as well as a softub ( hot tub ) , that can be set up on your deck for your private use. The rate is $ 50.00 per day, minimum 2 day rental. We also offer wireless internet service.. Bring your wireless laptop… All cabins are non-smoking and pets are allowed, on approval. ($10.00 per day/pet) Our Location Spillimacheen, British Columbia is surrounded by beautiful mountains and is only 25 minutes north of Radium Hot Springs and 40 minutes south of Golden. We are nestled in the Columbia Valley between the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Mountain Range. We are adjacent to the Columbia River Wetlands, the largest intact wetlands left in North America, a wildlife management area which hosts over 250 species of birds, including Trumpeter Swans, Great Blue Heron, Bald Eagles, Osprey as well as elk, white-tailed deer, moose, black bears and grizzly bears. Steamboat Mountain overlooking the valley offers many hiking trails with panoramic views of the Canadian Rockies, the Purcell Mountains and the Wetlands. The road going to the Bugaboos and Bobbie Burns areas with its famous spires and glaciers is only a few meters from our cabins. This is where heli-skiing and heli-hiking started. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Bugaboo Falls on the way to the back-country. Incredibly we are very close to 5 parks. The Kootenay National Park, Yoho National Park, Glacier National Park, Banff National Park and Bugaboo Provincial Park. All are only 30 minutes to 2 hours drive from our cabins. Easy day trips for spectacular sightseeing to Lake Louise, Banff, Kimberley, Fort Steele, glaciers, falls, wildlife, hot springs and nature.
Local Activities The valley offers something for everyone to enjoy year round. Hiking, golfing, skiing, bird watching, cycling, snowmobiling, fishing and canoeing. We are situated in-between two famous snowmobile areas, Silent Pass and Rocky Point. We are less than an hours drive from Panorama and the new Kicking Horse Mountain Resort with the highest restaurant and second longest ski-out in Canada. Jubilee Mountain offers mountain climbers a challenging rock face and is only a few minutes away. Make our cabins your base for your climbing adventure. A golfer's paradise, there are 12 fabulous courses fifteen to sixty minutes drive away from our cabins. We offer free mini golf, and canoe rentals are available ($35/day). Remember to bring your camera and binoculars History Steamboats once carried freight and passengers on the Columbia River from Golden to Canal Flats in the late 1800's.
